Headaches and Migraines

A migraine is defined as a severe throbbing or pulsing on (usually) one side of the head, and can be accompanied by nausea, an ‘aura’, sensitivity to light and sound, and vomiting. A headache is characterized by a less severe pain in the head, neck, or face; often caused my tight muscles in the neck and mid-back. They also may be caused by tension, stress, a lack of sleep, depression, dehydration, poor posture, eye strain, and malnutrition.

Headaches and migraines can interfere with your quality of life by limited your experiences. You may even need to spend an afternoon or day lying in bed in the dark due to the severity of your headache or migraine. Severe headaches may also impede your ability to think, concentrate, or keep your eyes open.

Our Kinetic Living team can assist with the symptoms of your headaches or migraines with chiropractic care, massage therapy, acupuncture and exercise rehabilitation. Treatment will reduce tension in the neck and shoulders, and ultimately reduce the frequency and intensity of migraines and headaches and eventually relieve the headache or migraine pain.
